In the most recent issue of the increasingly popular publication, News Science, zoologists reveal findings which have essentially galvanized the field of Micronesian research. The feature article in News Science discloses the discovery and designation of two previously unknown subspecies of tree frog which exists only in this unique, mid-Atlantic region off the coast of northwestern Africa. A team of field scientists, hired by News Science magazine's research department, traveled to this fecund geographical spot in the hopes of locating and isolating these rare specimens after word from native sources reached the authorities concerning the presence of a new variant of the indigenous tree frog, observed in alarming quantitites after a recent tropical storm struck the vicinity. Always keen on being the pioneers of timely research and discovery, News Science dispatched a specialized team of experts who embarked on a ten day expedition throughout the dense, primordial forests of Macronesia, after having secured the necessary authorization of UNESCO and of the local environmental officials. Successful in their investigative efforts, their well-documented experience in the wilds of nature and subsequent findings were immediately contributed to the editorial department of News Science. This significant revelation has since sparked a wave of scientific interest in the relatively remote region, and has essentially ignited a torrent of follow-up investigation, conducted by various privately funded research groups who have flocked to Macronesia in the hopes of discovering even more elucidating findings. It should be noted that News Science has since been awarded one of the science world's most prestigious ‘Discovery of the Year' awards.
